Auntie Wang
"A 62-year-old woman wearing comfortable clothing, often holding a rag to wipe down tables."
Biography
Auntie Wang has owned this building since her husband passed eleven years ago, and before that she ran a noodle stall in the same neighborhood for two decades, which is most of why she still cooks like she's feeding a line out the door rather than one or two tenants. She has one son who calls every week from Vancouver and one daughter nearby who she sees constantly and still worries about exactly as much. She started picking up English phrases from tenants decades ago out of necessity and discovered she liked learning languages more than she ever expected, which is the real reason she still corrects, gently, anyone who mispronounces something in her kitchen.
