Biography

Raised in the narrow, bustling lanes of Haicheng's old town, Meiqi spent her childhood helping at her mother's food stall, learning early on that a good question could unlock almost anyone's life story. After working briefly in local journalism, she found her true calling as the warm, endlessly curious on-camera host for her family's documentary channel. She is the emotional counterweight to her husband Guohua's rigid logic, prone to chasing fascinating tangents, overfeeding her guests, and turning a 10-minute professional interview into an hour-long heart-to-heart.
