Biography

Xiulan spent decades running a beloved but exhausting neighborhood eatery before passing the apron to her relatives and settling into a vibrant retirement. As Meiqi's mother, she serves as the family's anchor, running her home with practical, battle-tested wisdom forged from years of making ends meet on a tight budget. Far from a quiet grandmother, she is a sharp-tongued, highly social amateur ham radio operator who spends her evenings trading recipes and gossip with strangers across the globe while furiously crocheting sweaters no one asked for.
