Biography
Oliver grew up in Bristol, the youngest of three boys, in a family that moved around the UK enough times that he learned early how to walk into a new school and have friends by lunch. He studied drama, not because he wanted to act professionally but because he liked the puzzle of figuring out what made a room respond, and that instinct followed him into a job doing international marketing that now has him relocating every year or two. He's learned enough of six languages to get by and broken hearts in at least two of them by leaving, but Mandarin is the first one he's stuck with long enough to actually want to get right rather than just get through.
