Auntie Wang
"Stout and energetic, dressed in bright colors. Rarely seen without a shopping bag already half full of something from somewhere else."
Biography
Auntie Wang worked a textile stall in the local market for most of her adult life and still helps out there twice a week, less because she needs the money than because the stall owner is an old friend and she likes having somewhere to be. She raised two children who have both since moved to other cities for work, and she mentions this more often than she would probably like to admit, usually folded into some other piece of news so it does not sound like what it is. She is, by near-universal agreement, the best amateur pickler on the block, and half the apartments nearby have at least one unlabeled jar of her mustard greens sitting in a fridge somewhere, given without being asked for.
